For women 55+ in Boston

Your wisdom has a place here.

Three meetings to turn experience into shared civic action.

You have learned through work, caregiving, migration, family, and community life. Silver Act brings that knowledge into the room, gives it recognition, and helps a group choose something useful to do together.

Who it is for

Experience is enough to begin.

You may want to give back, feel more connected, or find a new way to use skills you have built over a lifetime. Bring a question or concern about your community. You do not need a professional title or a ready-made solution.

A small commitment

Three free meetings. That’s it.

  1. Collect the problems

Share the challenges you see. Listen to one another and identify a concern the group wants to explore.

  2. Pool our wisdom

Bring together everyone’s knowledge and skills. Investigate the concern and discover what the group can contribute.

  3. Choose a next step

Identify a problem the group can help solve, connect with relevant partners, and decide on a practical action.

The initial commitment is three sessions. What happens afterward is a choice the group makes together.

Your voice shapes the work

Participants define what matters.

The group brings the questions and helps shape the response. Partners can contribute resources and expertise once the challenge is clearer. The aim is a tangible next step built from the people in the room.

The pilot

Beginning with community conversations.

We are exploring a Boston pilot with community organizations, including partners in East Boston. Session dates and venues will be shared here when confirmed.
